Competitions

Jamaica competed in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022 with Robert Simpson in the

Men’s Singles. He teamed up with Mervyn Edwards for the Men Pairs.

One of the keys to developing the sport locally is a coaching development program. The other is

the establishment of a Lawn Bowls facility in Kingston and St Andrew. Official meetings have

been held to move this forward locally.

Things are progressing on all levels. We have started marketing our official commercial deal with

Kukri Sports locally.

Jamaica will be looking to participate in the World Championships, Gold Coast, Australia from 29 August

– 10 September plus other international events.

We have also launched a play Bowls in Jamaica package for tourists traveling to the Island that would like

to play the sport.
